After rain, and rainbow.

今回の個展はオンラインとした。
テーマは「雨上がり、虹」。

気をつけないと、昨年のテーマ「雫」と被っちゃうかなぁ…なんて思っていたけど、出てきたイメージは雨上がりの景色ではなくて、雨上がりに気付いた時の心模様だった。

特に雨が続いた後の、ホッと一息つけるという安心感。
目線が上がるというか、ちょっと先まで考えてみるかと思える、少し前向きな感じ。

実際の雨の日に室内でじっとしているという場合もあれば、悩ましい時間の中で息を詰めている場合もあるだろうと思う。
このように雨ってネガティブな情景の比喩にも使われるという事もあって、それを知っているからか、実際に雨が続くと私個人は、身も心もじっとしてしまうが、雨が上がると何かホッとする…

2020年の作品の発表及びオンライン展示会のご案内は、11月末を予定しています。

This exhibition was set to be online.
The theme is “After rain, and rainbow”.

If I am not careful, it might be the same theme as last year’s “Shizuku”…, but the image that came out was not the scenery after the rain, but rather the feeling of the heart when one realizes that it is raining.

A sense of relief, especially after a long spell of rain.
A slightly positive feeling of being able to raise your eyes, or maybe think a little further ahead.

In some cases, I would say that you are sitting still indoors on an actual rainy day, while in other cases you may be suffocating in the midst of troubled times.
Perhaps because I know that rain can be used as a metaphor for negative scenes in this way, I personally, when it actually rains for a long time, I feel still in body and mind, but when the rain stops, I feel some relief…

The announcement of the 2020 artwork and online exhibition is scheduled for the end of November.
