金属学の本を読んでいる。
加工技術というよりは性質や構造などを解説したような、工学系の大学の講義でも使われる様な専門書を選んだ。
（大学生協とかにおいてありそうな感じの本…懐かしい）

金属の語源とか発見の歴史とかの話も面白い。
後半の方には金属原子と電子の話が出てくるらしい。
どちらかと言うと電子の話は苦手なんだけど…原子と電子の話は避けて通れないから仕方ないか。

I am reading a book on metallurgy.
I chose a technical book that explains the properties and structure of metals rather than processing techniques, and that is the kind of book used in engineering university lectures.
（I chose a book that looks like the kind of book you can find at a university co-op or something… I miss it).

The etymology of metals and the history of their discovery are also interesting.
In the latter half of the book, there is a story about metal atoms and electrons.
I’m rather bad at talking about electrons… I can’t avoid talking about atoms and electrons, so I guess it can’t be helped.
